Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson is an American actress, who made headlines as the character Buffy Summers in the cult film Buffy the Vampire SlayerRebecca Becky Granger in the telefilm Nightingales as well as the very short-lived NBC show with the identical nameErica Paget on the CBS drama Early Editionand Marlowe Viccellio in Psych. Born in California, she discovered her love for acting when an infant. She began her acting career through a variety of commercials. The actress was featured in a scene in the NBC sitcom, It's Your Move, in the year 1984. Her first big screen appearance came 2 years later with the romantic drama Pretty in Pink. She is best known for the blonde hairlisp and breathless voice that she employs. Recently she has moved on to acting in secondary roles. Swan received an award called the Young Artist Award in 1990 for the best young actress in a horror or mystery film for Flowers in the Attic.
