Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd's combat sport journey began when she was 14 years old. In addition to BJJ training She also took classes in wrestling, boxing and kickboxing. When she was 18 years old, Ladd had her debut as an amateur at WCFC. Ladd kept building on her win at Ultimate Reno Combat, where she won 3 consecutive bouts. She knocked out all her competitors in the initial round. Then she returned to WCFC and defeated Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen has already beaten Silvia Baeghian and Maddy Simmons, before taking the fight to Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia defeated Aspen in a unanimous vote. This put a stain on Ladd's amateur record. Ladd bounced back from the defeat, and won Roma Pawelek at Tuff-N-Uff to take her record to 8-1. Aspen was a professional when she entered the ranks in the year 2015. She joined Invicta FC and made her debut. Invicta eleven saw Aspen dominate Ana Carolina Vidal to score an KO early in the round. Invicta Fc16 was Aspen's first fight as a Bantamweight. She defeated Amanda Cooper with an armbar in second round. Aspen utilized her formidable grappling skills to defeat McGill and ended her via the third round TKO(elbows and punches). Aspen continued to face Jessica Hoy for Invicta FC18 in a catchweight of 138.1lb. Ladd was not able make the weight, however, Aspen was victorious and defeated Hoy with a TKO. Invicta FC 21, she was victorious in her last fight for the promotion by unanimous decision. Her UFC debut took place at UFC Fight Night 118 when she faced Lina Lansberg. She dominated Lina with her ground and pound techniques which resulted in the TKO second-round victory. Then, in her third fight she overcame Tonya Evinger more convincingly. Ladd stopped Evinger's fight after the first round. Also, she was awarded the bonus for performance of evening. Sijara Eubanks from Invicta FC was her opponent in an rematch of UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. It was the fighter's first major match. Both fighters put up an intense battle that concluded with Ladd taking a unanimous win and each fighter receiving the Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie defeated Ladd after 16 seconds which ended her winning streak. Following a brief break after which she went on to beat Yana Kunizkaya of the UFC in their ESPN 7 third-round fight. In a recent match replacement in the UFC, Norma Dumont was her opponent. The decision was made unanimously in her favor.
